The workshop “Urban Rail Transport in Italy and Slovakia” was held at the Slovak Embassy in Rome and besides SMA was attended by the representatives of the State Railway of both countries and the companies Trenitalia, Grandi Stazioni, Mermec and Ansaldo STS. The workshop was introduced by the Slovak Minister of Transport, Mr. Roman Brecely and by the Slovak Ambassador, Mr. Ján Šoth. Both parties have presented their projects in this field and made up the priorities and plans until the year of 2020. In addition, the participants have visited the Termini railway station and the Directorate of the State Railways. Later, the Minister Brecely has met his Italian colleague Graziano Delrio, informing him about the priorities of the Slovak Presidency of the EU Council in the Transport and Telecommunication sector. The minister  Delrio noted that the positions of both parties are similar and he promised his support and availability of all consultation related to the Slovak presidency.

SMA renews it's collaboration with the Cervantes Institute for the 2016-2017 25.7.2016

SMA also renewed for the year 2016-2017 the collaboration with the Cervantes Institute in Rome. The Cervantes Institute is a public cultural institution dependent on the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, established in 1990 by the Council of Ministers for the  purpose of Spanish and hispanic culture promotion and teaching of Spanish language. The Cervantes Institute is also the member of EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture). The Cervantes Institute has 58 centers worldwide, 1.240 professors and delivers over 1.600 hours of classes per day. The headquarters are located in Madrid, in the palace of the Caryatids of the calle de Alcalá, former seat of the Central Bank, in Alcalá de Henares, birthplace of Cervantes in Libreros calle.

SMA promotes the Conference on Investment in Slovakia in cooperation with ANCE 31.5.2016

Italian-Slovak Consortium for Energy Industry with the Embassy of the Slovak republic in Italy and in cooperation with Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) and SMA, on 31 May 2016 at the premises of the Slovak Embassy in Rome, organized a workshop entitled „Projects focused on energy, infrastructure and environment in Slovakia and Italy “, with the scope of presenting the possibilities of cooperation in construction, water and energy sectors of both countries and to enforce further the bilateral economic relations. Business seminar had been introduced by the Slovak Ambassador? Mr. Ján Šoth and Deputy Prime Minister of Slovak Republic, Mr. Peter Pellegrini. Both had stressed the importance of creating such platforms in order to further develop mutual business relations. More than hundred participants, including the representatives of Slovak and Italian companies from all relative sectors, Italian Industrial Confederation (Confindustria), Italian-Slovak Chamber of Commerce, EXIMBANKA and its Italian partner company SACE were present at this workshop divided into four specialized units – financial support and guaranties of bank subjects, infrastructure projects, water projects and energy and environmental projects. B2B meetings were held at the end of the workshop.
